Welcome Back for 2018
It is with pleasure that we welcome back our students and their families to the 2018 school year.
41 new students enrolled at the school this year. It was pleasing to welcome these students and their families to the school community and to see how well the students have settled into their new school at this very early stage.
Over the next few weeks parents and carers will be given the opportunity to meet their son or daughter’s teacher and to discuss their learning programs for 2018.
Learning assessments are currently being conducted across the school to assist teachers in the development of a Personalised Learning Support Plan for each student.
Student Support Group meetings will be conducted during Week 4 of Term 1 (from Monday 19th to Thursday 22nd February) to discuss achievement standards and to obtain parental input into the proposed learning goals.
After many meetings with school uniform supply companies and several parent and student feedback forums our newly designed Prep to Year 9 school uniforms have been delivered to the school.
The students look very smart in the uniforms and are the students and parents are very happy with them. This is a transition year during which we hope to see families purchase uniforms in preparation for it to become compulsory for all students on this campus in 2018.
As the year 10 students this year will be working across both campuses and will require the Hume Central uniform in 2018 we will give them the option of purchasing either uniform.
