Outdoor Education

The Hume Valley All Stars have had an amazing year. Each week they attend the Cheer Factor in Tullamarine. Our coaches Sonia and Shelly are incredibly dedicated and we thank them for all their hard work.

The All Stars performed at a state wide cheerleading competition at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. They performed in front of thousands of people and received a standing ovation.

Girls Group

Our ‘girls only’ group has participated in a variety of exercises together this year. We really saw the girls come out of their shells when they were given the opportunity to train each other! They used what they had learnt to develop a training session for a friend.

Our final challenge of the year was to climb the 1000 steps in the Dandenongs. The girls worked well as a team and encouraged each other every step of the way. We couldn’t be happier with what they achieved this year.

Hume Valley School is part of Sailability North, a sailing program run by the two most amazing volunteers.

Richard and Koos have been sailing for most of their lives and we couldn’t ask for two better role models. They take the time each week to teach our students about sailing boats and everything else that goes along with this sport. We would like to thank these two men for the opportunities that they allow our students to have.

Steven and Ibi certainly made us proud this year when they both succeeded in obtaining their speedboat licenses. This was quite an undertaking and one that took a great deal of dedication.
