Student Wellbeing Team
The Student Wellbeing Team offers support and guidance to students, teachers and parents. The team work to create a holistic response, looking at the student in the context of their whole life, not just as a student arriving at school in the morning and leaving at the end of the day.
Our creative and expansive approach allows us to run a number of programs across the school.
Some students need specific support; this may be emotional, academic or behavioural. The Student Wellbeing Team works with teachers to develop individual behaviour plans where appropriate. We also offer short term counselling for students who need some help navigating friendships, relationships or other significant life events.
This year the expansion of the team has allowed a number of targeted groups to be run. We had great experiences with a boys’ conflict resolution group, a social awareness group for our Secondary girls and a creative communication group with our Secondary boys. Great feedback has come from all the groups and we hope to continue to build them across the school.
